What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by websites you visit. They help sites remember information about you (like your language preference) or work properly (like keeping you logged in).
Cookies we set (first-party)
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
se_lang |
Stores your selected language (EN/KO/JA) so we can render the right version on next visit. | 1 year |
PHPSESSID |
Session cookie used for CSRF protection on the pitch and contact forms. | Session (cleared when browser closes) |
_sp_tok |
Cached Spotify API token used to render playlist data (server-side). Stored in session. | Up to 30 minutes |
Third-party cookies
On individual playlist pages, we embed a Spotify player. When you interact with that embedded player, Spotify sets cookies under its own domain (open.spotify.com). We don't control these — see Spotify's Cookies Policy.
How to control cookies
You can clear or block cookies via your browser settings. Disabling cookies may break the language selector and form submissions, but you can still read all editorial content.
No tracking pixels or third-party ads
Sound Editorial does not run third-party advertising, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking scripts (no Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, etc.).
Changes
If we add new cookies, this page will be updated. For broader privacy details, see our Privacy Policy.
