1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Sound Editorial (soundeditorial.co), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. What this site is

Sound Editorial is an editorial publication that curates music playlists, publishes commentary, and accepts pitches for editorial consideration. We are not a streaming service or distributor.

3. Editorial independence — no pay-for-placement

Sound Editorial does not accept payment, gifts, or any form of consideration in exchange for playlist placement, editorial coverage, or featured positioning. Any third party claiming to "guarantee" Sound Editorial placement for a fee is not authorized by us. Report such offers to legal@soundeditorial.co.

4. Pitches & submissions

By submitting a song or content through our pitch form:

• You confirm you have the legal right to share that content (you own or have license to the song).
• You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to listen, review, and discuss the submission internally for editorial purposes.
• If we select the submission for a playlist, we may name the artist and song in editorial coverage.
• Submission does not create an obligation on our part to publish or respond.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit infringing, unlawful, or harmful content.
• Use the site for spam, automated scraping, or to circumvent rate limits.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, accounts, or infrastructure.
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us.

6. Intellectual property

All editorial content (text, design, photography commissioned by us, the Sound Editorial name and logo) is © Sound Editorial unless otherwise noted. You may share quotes and snippets with attribution and a link back. Wholesale reproduction requires written permission.

Playlist artwork and music belong to their respective rights holders. Spotify embeds are served by Spotify under their terms.

7. Third-party services

We embed third-party players (e.g., Spotify) and may link to external sites. Their availability, content, and terms are their own responsibility — not ours.

8. Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that any specific editorial outcome will occur.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sound Editorial is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including lost data, lost revenue, or lost editorial opportunities.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to refuse service, remove content, or block users who violate these terms or behave abusively toward editors or contributors.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflicts of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Seoul, Korea, unless local consumer protection law requires otherwise.

12. Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page for at least 30 days.
